Night time was pretty much a few drinks of beer and chatting about stuff but was in bed most nights by 11 oclock.. one night we did get a clear view of the eclipse which went on and another was a birthday party night for the volunteer there called chrystal.. I also gained a wall chart from another chris from england that came for the cricket, where as he would use it to find out which island to go to see the different games i would be using to avoid running into the barmy army where they would probably book out the whole of the islands accomodation.
my time at 3rivers included a lot of hiking to the many waterfalls around the southern part of the island, my favourite was river cyrique, the climb down was amazing as it had been raining for 2 days solid so was real slippery but totally worth it. The food served there was brilliant aswell cooked up by a local lady who lived near by in Grand font. the general idea of 3rivers is pretty good aswell, everything is done in a way to limit the impact on the local environment along with imploying people from the local community, it is run by Jem who moved here a few years ago from southend and has created a very recommendable place to go to.. it also caters for all budgets from camping in tents, dormitories and selling hammock space very cheaply to the cabins that the older guests like to use which includes solar-hot water. Which reminds me of the whole day hike i got up to one day, i was pretty knackered having crossed the island on foot and found myself at trafalger falls, which at the time i didn't know had a hot water waterfall with natural baths in which to lye in and soak up the warmth into my aching muscles.
