We got the local bus to Puerto Viejo, which was ok. Lesson learnt though, my day back was on the floor by my feet with my leg through the strap! This place is almost idealic. It's like the carribean places in the movies, curvey coast line with black and white sand beaches, loads of small restauarnts / bars and people sitting around with outstreached legs and hands behind heads. Everything is ''go slow'' it takes about 45mins to get a simple meal served, but you know what, no one cares!
Our first afternoon here we just went to the internet cafe and tried to sort out some trips for S America
We had a lovely dinner. It was one of those occassions where they didn't have what I wanted from the menu so I quickly chose something else, not really knowing what it was going to be like..... It was fab, beef in carribean sauce. mmmmm, then Robert spotted rice pudding on the menu... but they were out! We told them we'd be back tomorrow for the rice pudding!
We then went out to a bar, in the first one Patricia bought a round of Guava (I think) we drank it like doing shots of tequila, with the salt and lime. Then I bought a round, then Melissa bought one. We then moved to the bar we'd found this afternoon. Tanya the barmaid remembered us.
