Where I stayed
Michael & Staci's home
What I did
Texas Capitol, bluebonnets
We Have Always Lived in the Castle
. Listening to a good story really helps pass the time. The Garmin also gave us incorrect directions near Mike and Staci's neighborhood. Fortunately, a call to Staci saved the day. Staci and Buffy were there to greet us and we enjoyed delicious appetizers while waiting for Michael to come home. When he arrived we had a good salmon dinner followed by a recent episode of Game of Thrones. Patrick joined us for dinner and the show. It was great to see him again. He likes his job and life in Texas seems to agree with him.

Later in the day we took the dogs to Doghouse Drinkery & Dog Park. The dogs got to run around and we had a beer. The place is well supervised by the owner and her staff. And the cost is minimal. What a concept!

We have no idea why Canadian French was our ONLY option. Fortunately I speak French but when driving and following directions, I prefer English. During our long drive we listened to Shirley Jackson's
