Six more days in Thailand

Tom has been great about sending off updates, so I won't elaborate. I did want to add some funny stories more for my future memory and laughter. The funniest times occur when we are in transit for some reason the language confusion gets multiplied. Leaving our hotel in Phi Phi we had to take a long boat (see picture). There were quite a few people and luggage needing transport to the ferry pier and instead of counting boat occupancy the skipper just kept telling us to board. He keep stating four to a seat. I was on a bench seat with a funny overwieght Aussie couple and the guy next to me kept saying four to a seat is not going to work with his fat ass. I was worried they were going to try and push another person next to me so I yell to Tom to squish in next to me. By the time we were tightly fit the guide said ok off onto another boat. Tom and I didn't get off but Tom's luggage did. We made it to the pier and had to wait for the other long boat to arrive. Apparently the skipper of the other boat didn't know how to drive and he couldn't bring the boat into shore. It was hilarious; poor Tom kept having to walk the shore line since the so called skipper kept trying to come ashore only to back out again. By the time he beached the boat it was quite a bit from the ferry pier and Tom had to hike it to get his luggage. Meanwhile the group that got off the boat were either shaking from panic or laughing uncontrollably. I just stood on the pier listening to this Aussie retell the drama laughing like crazy. We had a similar experience trying to take a trolly to Karbi town from our hotel. For some reason they always believe they can fit more people in the transfer vechile than possible and until we are all loaded up they realize it won't work; you gotta laugh. All is well with a smile. Love Mary and Tom
