Our latest trip started in Budapest, where we met our friends Troy and Kenzie for ten days of travels in Hungary and Croatia. This trip will be different from previous trips in that we don't have everything booked in advance.

Since the weather was good, we explored Budapest by foot on both Friday and Saturday during the day. We climbed Castle Hill and the Gellert Hill, and covered a lot of ground seeing the Independence Monument, Fisherman's Bastion, Heroes' Square, Buda Castle, and the City Park.

On Saturday afternoon we experienced the Hungarian thermal baths at the Szechenyi Baths. It was definitely an experience because of all the hoops we had to go through to get in, get changed, and get towels. The could definitely use some process efficiency tips.

It went something like this: up the stairs to the change rooms, instructed to leave cards in room, down the stairs to get towels, told that we need a card to get the towels, back up the stairs to get the card, down the stairs to get towels, get towels, told that we must put card back in change room, up the stairs to lock up cards, down the stairs to the baths!

Later in the evening we saw a different side of Budapest during our dinner cruise on the Danube. The cruise was good but the food was weak...except for the pistachio dessert.

Tomorrow we are traveling by train to Pecs.
