Stockholm is beautiful. There are gorgeous buildings and palaces everywhere. Since it was pouring rain again, we opted for the Stockholm Card. The card is one of the best deals that we have come across as we were able to do a Royal Canal Tour, a  Historical Canal Tour, visit all the museums for free and use public transportation for free.

Since we had the Stockholm card, we tried to pack in as many museums as we could! We visited all of the Royal Palace and Museums in Gamla Stan (old town), the Nobel Museum, Skansen (an open air museum), and the Vasa Museum. We also found time to visit the Absolut Icebar and see Stockholm from a lift above the water.

The best museum by far was the Vasa Museum...in fact there was even a line to get in because the museum was full! The museum is of the war ship Vasa that sunk just outside of Stockholm on her maiden voyage in 1628. The ship is massive and it is interesting to see all of the displays on how it was built and the people that would have been on the ship. Definitely well worth the visit.

It has been a good holiday, even though we have had rain every day! I am not ready to go home yet...I wish I could keep traveling some morebefore going back to Norway.
