Kevin and I started our Scandinavian tour on Friday with an early morning flight to Copenhagen...we will be visiting some Scandinavian and Baltic cities: Copenhagen, Helsinki, Tallinn and Stockholm.

There is lots to do in Copenhagen and it is a much bigger city than we expected. In the two and a half days we spent in Copenhagen we walked around the main shopping area, visited the Rosenborg Castle, did a tour of the Carlsberg Brewery, saw the Little Mermaid, saw some of the other palaces and did some shopping. We also visited Christiania, an old military barracks that has been illegally occupied since the 1970's and is a "free state". And, made a quick visit to the Tivoli gardens and amusement park.

We had an amazing meal at a restaurant called Wok Shop on Friday night and a terrible meal at a Mexican Restaurant called Mama Rosa on Saturday night. I don't know when we were last at a restaurant that was that bad! What were we thinking when we tried Mexican food in Copenhagen? If we had to do it over I think we might opt for Danish cuisine.

We are flying to Helsinki this evening...
