I am on a course in London this week. My hotel is outside of central London but it is right by the train station so I have been taking the train to Waterloo Station and then taking the tube into central London.
Since I have been to the main toursit destinations in London, during the evenings I focused on shopping and exploring some of the different neighbourhoods in London. I always find it amazing how close the main sights are located. It is such a big city but most of the tourist spots are all within walking distance. I didn't spend all of my spare time shopping - I did manage to get to the National Gallery and to the British Museum.

Greetings from Seattle
Wanted to say I enjoyed reading your blog. Always interesting to read other people's experiences when they move to Norway. I moved from Sandnes to Seattle about 8 years ago. My wife just spent 2 months in Norway and blogged about it in case you are interestd at all - http://www.travelpod.com/travel-blog/hansanddoyle/oslo2006/tpod.html. Good luck with your stay! BTW, I still go for my 'Komle' fix outside of Seattle (Ballard) every few months. Did you try that yet?
