I spent the past weekend in Rome. My parents were travelling in Italy, so I got to meet up with them in Rome. It was great to see them.
Only when you are living in Europe, can you go to Rome for the weekend!
The weather in Rome was absolutely amazing. There were clear blue skies and the temperature was around 25oC.
The weekend went by way too quickly! I got in on Friday evening, so we really only had Saturday and Sunday to sight see in Rome. In the two days I was there, I saw the Panthenon, St. Peter's Basilica, toured the Colosseum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, and did a walking tour on Sunday night
There were so many things to see and do that it didn't leave much time for shopping!
The food was amazing...pasta, pizza, wine, cheese and gelati. Not only did it taste great but the price of the food and drinks were a nice change from Norway.
The only strange part was getting on the plane and coming home but home isn't Calgary or Edmonton...
