We had a Thanksgiving dinner tonight. We couldn't find a turkey, so we had roast chicken instead. Since there was only the two of us, we really didn't need a whole turkey anyway. I posted some pictures of the food we ate. I made roast chicken, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans with mushrooms and pumpkin pie.
It was difficult to make the pie because when we were grocery shopping we realized that we don't know the difference between butter and margarine in Norwegian and trying to find shortening was another story. I did manage to find butter (smor) but I have never made a pie crust with only butter. The pie looked delicious and the filling was great but the crust was a little soggy!
