So, we have weaved our way thourhg a seemingly endless number of different transport modes to the mid-trip resort stop in, or rather, outside of San Pedro, Belize. The place were at is called Costa Maya Reef Resort. Its a 20 minute boat ride here from San Pedro that the incoming waves from Hurricane Gustav made only slightly more eventful than it usually is. Outside of that Gustav has provided little but a topic for casual conversation. Costa Maya is filled with activities and as expected, far too many ways to spend oney. We did some shopping in town before coming down this way and stoked the kitchen for a few days.
Oh ya, and most everybody here in Belize seems to think that Im looking to buy pot, or I've got the herb to sell, or give to them...People willl yell out at me "Hey Rasta Man!" and stome me for a purchase of some kind. I guess one's hair goes a long way in developing peoples perceptions. whoda thunk it.
the local kids here seem to be facinated with me. apparently i am the first white "rasta man" that they have seen.... maybe i just look weird. Life here at the resort is really easy and idyllic (see pics) the roughtest part of my day, i imagine, will be deciding whether to go snorkeling on the reef or play beach volleyball, or lounge about in the sun next to or in the carribean...

Well Babe, I want to see some picts of what your hair looks like braided.
Otherwise, I miss ya both and so does my mom who I'm with right now.
Slap that brother of mine around a bit for me.
My mom says hi and she's jelous. She's trying to not be here for the winter and so will get to live some of the rough life you've got going on. But she won't get to ride on the chicken buses, she's not as lucky as you.
Adios, Pill
