my birthday party was wonderful, certainly something i will never forget.  We had a bunch of people out onto the dock for a BBQ and stayed out way too late.  the last couple days have been used trying to find out how much stuff we are taking to Belize and Guatemala and going to work ...   the golf cart broke too, its gonna cost $42 to fix it... about 26 hours of work.  it will be exciting to be somewhere else, but ill always be happy to return to utila.
here is the plan for getting to Belize ....
take the morning ferry on Aug 27 to la ceiba, take the bus to san pedro, take another bus to omoa, then take another bus to a small border town where we catch a pickup truck to the Guatemala border, then another bus to puerto barrios.  the next morning we take a ferry to Belize - punta gorda - where we will then get on a bus to go to Belize city, after arriving in Belize city we take a ferry to ambergis caye where we will be sitting in the lap of luxury at a 2 bdr condo on the beach... I'm sure it will be much needed after that journey.
