Kirstin and I have both manifested "jobs" to finance our extended stay in Utila. She works at the dive shop we've been diving at and I've fallen into a job as a daytime bartender at the Calibri Hill Hotel. Her job is much more stressful than mine is as she needs to deal with people all day, from all over the world with all kinds of different expectations and my first day was spent being surrounded by seven women in bikinis.. Basically I set up the bar, clean the pool, swim, beat the bugs back, and try out cocktails that are new to me. It's terribly slow most days but Kirstin works quite a bit more diligently for her compensation. We will be leaving here in about a week and a half for Belize and yet more fun.
My birthday is tommorrow and if you so choose you can donate to our travels in lew of some bnig fancy gift...LOL by referencing the "support my travels" link on the top of this page

We are glad that you and Kirsten (Hi Kirsten!) are posting a lot of pictures.

I had a great time on my birthday, (pictures pending)now if I can get over the overly aggressive mosquitoes and rampant sand flies I might say that I would make it through my Central American adventure alive. Seriously though, in spots on the North side, it's picture postcard Caribbean Island for miles. We are leaving in about a week to Belize and will keep up with you from there.
