It seemed that we hardly got to sleep before we had to get up to walk to the bus stop.
The lady of the house let us out but not until having a good look around to see that there were no people lurking. We walked the 100 metres very quickly backpacks and all. The TICA bus terminal wasn't open yet! It did open around 4.10.
The TICA bus is very comfortable and we managed to have two seats each. I would like to say that I saw some of the Nica countryside but I slept all the way to the border. The border crossing was a breeze, we had to give our passports and $8 each to the bus conductor and then go get our luggage, take it into a room, open it, be ignored before putting it back on the bus. We then waited whilst the border guard called our names, collected our passports and got back on the bus.
TICA bus is good and it was one of the best 11 hour bus rides I have had.
We headed to our hotel of choice, the Good Luck Hotel near Boulevard de Los Heroes which is also near the largest mall in Central America. The mall is massive and full of shoppers but at least we could get some money as we were very low as we hadn't managed to get any in Managua.
San Salvador is large and sprawling and the noise is almost assaulting. The weather is warm at 35 deg during the day but pleasantly cool at 25 during the night. And at last no mossies and no need for our nets.
We have changed to Coconut Rum and this reminds me of Jim and Bev and a previous trip to Central America. Guys, we had a drink to you.... well maybe two-ish....
Life is still good

Coconut rum
Yes, we think of you also whenever we have a coconut rum, and our fun days in Belize and Guatemala. Remember Ras Creek? Thanks for keeping us posted about your travels; we wish we were with you!
Stay safe,
Jim
