From Leon we headed back to Managua to stay the night before Karen headed off to join her tour in Antigua and we flew to the Corn Islands.

We started at the same hostel Karen had stayed at previously which was on the outskirts of Managua near a large shopping mall.

Subways for lunch at the mall.... yah!

Karen had to catch a taxi at around 3am to get to the airport and I woke when she got up at 2 am and thought that i would come out and say goodbye but fell asleep again and she had gone.

There was a lot of noise around 4am which sounded like gun fire but who knows.

We headed off to the airport early for our 2pm flight as we heard that they often overbooked them and our plane left at 1:15 and flew direct to the Corn Islands instead of stopping off in Bluefields.

Thanks goodness for mozzies nets, our best purchase ever!
