Where I stayed
A hostel with free wine

Frail Autumn leaves malt from the multi coloured canopy high above. Cycling through the long shadows of the stunning road side trees; cognisance of the suns radient light flickering as my velocity increases. Its rays penetrating through the vasts vineyards as it sets over the grand Andean mountain range.  I look causesly as a policeman rolls by on his motorbike, my reason, I'm completely drunk.

I spent a day cycling around different wineries in Mendoza, Argentina's wine capital, producing 85% of its countries wine. Taste testing wine, chocolate, olives spreads and other different variates of alcohol. My favorite and Miwaīs very intelligent choice, duce del leche liquor with a hint of almonds. The worse, Absinth.... Oh the wine was good also.

I wanted to visit a farm that produces the wine Tapiz.. but it was to far away.. I kind of regret not spending another day to find it, but then again I had already drunken more than my fair share of wine the past few days.

It was very convenient returning to the hostel to consume free wine. The owner fills a barrel most nights for everyone in the hostel to enjoy, which is permanently located on the kitchen bench. The natural progression from there, hitting town with 2 Israeli's that where staying in the hostel. Returning back to the hostel at 7am, true Argentina style.

Worst moment; the taxi driver pulling out his massive knife to make us pay, talk about a misunderstanding... that moment was "slightly" disappointing..... his license plate number imprinted in my memory bank, HEF225. Not sure exaclty what he was on...
