Took the bus to my hostel and started to explore. Took a tram to the Vigeland Park. This is a huge sculpture park open 24/7. Some of the sculptures are funny and some are kinda awkward. You will see if you flip through the pics. The park is on the other side of the city so I got a great tram tour of the city.
Enjoyed a cup of Red Rose with milk and sugar and a big ol plate of eggs florentine for dinner at the Nighthawks Diner in Grunerlokka
Made friends with my waiter Matthew. What a great guy! We hit it off so well that he has invited me to come visit him and his partner Jan when they are at their second house in Florida. I just can't get over how many genuinely good people I'm meeting. One of the waitresses here is from Georgia. She was a peach and gave me directions to Cafe Mono and tips on what to tip.
The band I saw the other night in Stockholm played the bar I went to tonight. Small rock world I guess.
Really looking forward to the fjord tour tomorrow. It's going to be beautiful and I get to keep off my feet most of the day. Bonus!! Just a note, never buy cheap inserts for your shoes/boots. I have 6 band aids on my feet right now. Walkin a little funny and slow but to quote Clark W Griswold "it's all part of the experience".
Note to those interested in travelin to Norway or Scandinavia in General: it's EXPENSIVE! I spent 8 euro one way one the tram and then realized I was headed the wrong direction. Doh!! Good thing I'm making this trip quick.
