When the hurricane hit Cancun in August 2005, DH and I had to change our vacation plans. So instead of heading to the beach, we switched to going to London.

Got up early and had an English breakfast at the hotel. We had to go over to Victoria Coach Station to catch our Evan Evans full-day tour. The station was ice cold. I nearly froze my butt off. I was never so happy to get on a bus.

We finally got on our way and drove through Greenwich on our way to Leeds Castle. The castle was great, although a bit chilly. It is on 500 acres of parkland with a lake. It's breathtaking. Leeds Castle is also known as the "Ladies Castle."

We then got back on the bus to head over to Canterbury Cathedral. The town itself was really cool. The cathedral was amazing! It is so old (over 900 years!) and so intricately detailed. We spent a fair amount of time just wandering around looking at all its nooks and crannies.

From there we jaunted over to the white cliffs of Dover. Our time spent there was short, but it was cool. We then got back on the road and stopped off at a 17th century village pub for lunch, The Jackdaw. Apparently this pub was featured in the film, "Battle of Britain." It was great afternoon tea.

We were exhausted on the bus ride back. They turned the lights off so everyone could snooze. I didn't bring my contact case so I was miserable trying to keep my eyelids open. Not a mistake I would make for the next day's tour!

We got back at around 8 pm I think. Found a place for dinner and walked around Picadilly Circus for a bit, then went to bed.
