First Full Day in London

We had so much fun just walking around, shopping, seeing Trafalgar Square, going into the National Gallery. We saw a special exhibit at the National Gallery...Rubens: A Master in the Making.
It's quite beautiful in London, with so much history, and everyone is so nice. It was supposed to rain, but didn't at all. It was quite cold though.
We also made it over to Kensington Palace, former home of Princess Diana. It was quite something to see. There was a special exhibition there of photographs of Princess Di taken by Mario Testino in 1997. Next to the photos are some of the gowns she wore in the photos.
We had dinner at the Angela Hartnett Restaurant in the MENU Room at the Connaught Hotel. We had a drink first in the lobby. Then we were seated at a wonderful table right in the middle of the room. I'm not sure how many courses we had, and I've never used so many utensils at one sitting in all my life. It was an extravagant dinner, but well worth it!
