We had a good night's sleep, and even slept in a little. Went down to have breakfast, then back to our room to do final packing. Watched some Japanese t.v. while we waited for the bag person to come get our luggage.
Then headed down to the lobby to wait for our shuttle bus that would take us to the airport. It was all very organized.
We got on the bus and had a 2-hour drive to Narita Airport. Took a few pictures out the window. I ended up taking over 1,000 pictures on this trip! Yikes!
We got there early enough to do some duty free shopping and then hang out in the brand new Admiral's Club. They had a major spread of food, so we had all kinds of goodies for lunch. The iced tea was great. Also of note: Some American dudes in a rock band sat next to us. Never could figure out what band they're in, but I'd say it was one from the 80's. They were on our flight back to L.A.
We all trully loved Japan. It was the trip of a lifetime and I thank my DH for giving us this opportunity. I love the politeness and courtesy of the Japanese people, the cleanliness of Japan. I will miss the bowing, the wet hand towels before every meal and upon arrival on a train, the food, the beautiful sites. I *won't* miss the heat and humidity. ;)
Looks like we might get to go back for DH to do more talks; don't know when, but I'm ready any time! It was an awesome adventure. The kids said it was the best vacation ever. :)
