Night Train to Tokyo

It took 2 1/2 hours or so to get to Osaka, then we had to change trains. From Osaka, it was another 2 1/2 hours or so back to Tokyo.
Once we arrived, we had to take the local train to the Shinjuku Station which was near our hotel (Century Hyatt). The local train was crazy packed, and it was an adventure with all our luggage. It was amazing how busy the trains were at that time of night--standing room only for us; I think we got to Tokyo at around 11:30 PM.
We took a taxi to the hotel from the station, which took no time at all. The Hyatt was gorgeous with gigantic crystal chandeliers in the lobby. We got in our nicely appointed room and crashed.
