We had to get up super early, make sure everything was packed and ready to go and get downstairs to get our car to go to Waterloo station. The drive over was quite smooth, not much traffic. The city was quite beautiful so early in the morning. Caught a glimpse of my favorite London guy, Big Ben, as we drove by. Aww, he's gorgeous. We got some sandwiches to have as our breakfast before we caught the Eurostar train.
The train ride itself was ok. The people next to us actually had our window seats, but I didn't make a fuss (was tempted), but it felt roomier on the aisle so I kept my mouth shut. They were a nice couple. Unfortunately, the train ran late. First they said it was only going to be 15 minutes late into Paris, but ended up being 30 minutes late. We had scheduled the trains an hour apart but that 30 minutes did us in. (Continued on next travelogue)...
