We had to walk over to Republic Square to catch our city tour. On the way we found a great breakfast place, Bohemia Bagel. Our tour started on the bus, and we drove around for about an hour, and our guide, Helen, told us about the history of Prague (or in Czech--Praha). Then we got up to Prague Castle. We took a quick break and walked around the castle grounds.

We got to watch the changing of the guards (or there was also the option to go see the cathedral). DH and I were right up front, which was fortunate because there were hundreds of people there. In fact, I thought the one guard was going to step on my toes he was so close to me! It was great. :) The view from up on the hill where the castle is located is breathtaking. Afterwards, we got back on the bus and continued the tour for another hour around the city. It was a great overview.

After the tour we went shopping at Wencelas Square. We found some great clothes at a place called, Kenvelo. We hit the Nespresso place on our way back to the hotel of course. We chilled for a bit before our new friends came by at 7 pm.

DH had arranged for the hotel car to take us over to Kampa on the left bank. On our tour we saw a cool tavern. So that is where the four of us went. The tavern was called Black Eagle in English (please don't ask me what it was in Czech! lol). We had some great Czech beer and a Moravian appetizer plate and an Czech appertif called, Becherovka made with 34 herbs, and it's like 38% alcohol, I believe. The place was great, very quaint with beamed ceilings. We picked up our conversations and fun so easily. From there we walked around a little, and then we came across the find of the night.

At first all we could see, really, were the flickering candles. As we got closer, we could see some tables and chairs, and thought, "cool, let's go there." This little place was right next to the Vltava River, under the Charles Bridge. You could look down the river and see a little mill. We joked around that there should be Gypsies or Trolls sitting with us. It was the coolest place though. We thought it should be named, Gypsy Troll Tavern. We shared a bottle of Czech wine here.

We walked around some more taking pictures and looking at the sights and in the windows of the galleries. We ended up back on the right bank and in the Old Town Square. We got some brats to eat from the vendors. Wow, were those good! We then found a local bar (Chateau Bar) that was packed. We had some cheap beer and finished out our evening there. We had the best time with our new friends. It couldn't have been a better evening!
