Our flight wasn't until late afternoon, so we had time to walk around. We went to the Eaton Center so DD could get a new band for her Swatch. The guy was really nice. He told us to go down the street where it had different kind of shops.

So we walked and walked. Finally we came into a very, well, I dunno, different kind of area. At first it was sort of Bohemian or something, then it got a lit more trendy. It was an area we hadn't seen though, so it was fun.

I was determined to have poutine before we left, so we started to be on the lookout for it. We had made our way back to Front Street. I knew C'est What? had it, but was curious to see where else we could find it. We saw a street vendor that had it, but I had no inclination to stand up and eat french fries covered in gravy and cheese curds Breaking News

. Plus, we actually wanted lunch.

We came across Jersey Giant pub and decided to eat there. It was a coupld doors down from C'est What?. It was a great place. I had Ceasar salad and poutine (DH and DD helped eat the poutine). DH had a bison burger, DS had shrimp, and DD had a Ceasar salad too. We all enjoyed our food, plus it was a really cool pub.

We took the hotel car to the airport. We went through customs in Toronto instead of LAX. That was pretty cool. Everything was super quick at the Toronto airport. I'd much rather go through customs there than at LAX. We hung out at the Admiral's Club since we had gotten there pretty early.

The flight went very smoothly. We had good seats, and no obnoxious kids nearby this time. As we were coming into LA, the sun was down, but it wasn't dark yet, however, people had started doing fireworks for the 4th of July, so that was cool to see.

We got to see even more fireworks on the way home. Looking across LA it was just wall-to-wall fireworks! I've never seen anything like it. Plus we also saw some bigger shows like Disneyland's and Knott's Berry Farms.

We stopped at Norm's for a bite to eat, which is our tradition now after a trip. It was good to be home. :)
