We had breakfast at the main house as usual. This time though, I checked my email on Madame's computer. I found it rather difficult to find all of the right keys. I really never realized how different a French keyboard would be! We said goodbye to our new Belgian/French friends; they were leaving that day.

We then took off in the car and drove to Lagrasse, Narbonne, and Beziers. We hit a few other towns along the way. We saw many cathedrals and fortifications that were part of the Cathars time.

We had lunch in Narbonne at a quaint, local place. I had beef bourguinon, but it wasn't very good. Everyone else enjoyed their meals though.

We were walking down a street full of shops, and I spotted some cool looking brown boots in a window I just had to try on. The shopgirl was so nice and helped me get my size, and we laughed about all the layers I had on because it was so bloody cold and really windy (about 3-4 C, but felt much colder with the wind chill).

While in Narbonne, we went into two banks trying to exchange the last two useless AMEX traveller's cheques. The first guy just said, "No, sorry, we cannot do that here." But the second guy was awesome and told me to go around the corner to the post office, and they would do it there!

It took quite a long time to stand in the line, but I was very proud of myself for getting the job done (i.e. getting real Euros out of those stupid traveller's cheques) by speaking almost completely in French. Woot for me!
