Not long after breakfast the 777 landed in Paris. I was quite amazed at how fast the flight had gone. It helps to be comfortable and cared for with lots of room to stretch out. Time never goes so fast when you are a sardine being given food that tastes like plastic and you have to take the abuse of mean flight attendants. 'Tis the irony of life I guess.

I felt energized finally being on French soil again, so much so that I took the stairs instead of the escalator to surpass the other tired travelers. I made my way to the other terminal, which required a long walk that loosened up my stiff and swollen limbs.

I went through passport control, then went over to my gate where I had to go through security. Somehow I got in line behind three teenage boys who had every electronic device known to man with them. All such electronics and cords were pulled out of the boys backpacks, one by one and put on trays. My God. Somehow security has gotten much more rigorous at CDG. I had to find my two phones, and my other various electronic devices to put on my own trays. What a pain. At least I didn't have to take off my shoes.

The first thing I saw outside of the security area was Laduree. Bliss! But I didn't want anything extra to carry, so I passed it up (I'll hit it on the way home for sure). I had some time before my flight so I walked around the shops. I didn't buy anything, but it was nice looking around.

I waited at the gate for a little bit, then boarded the plane on my way to Toulouse.
