There's a cool poster on the wall that shows Dagan, Celtic Cider, on tap. I'd like to try that some time. Best if I have some food in me first.
I took my time and relaxed, listened intently to the locals talk to each other and watched some funny French TV. On my way out something caught my immediate attention...people speaking English! YeeHaw! I'm normally a keep-to-myself kinda girl, but I was so happy to be able to talk to someone, I gently interrupted their conversation
Turns out they were a father and son. The father lives in Najac and is from England. The son was visiting from Canada. They were quite nice and didn't seem to mind my intrusion. Apparently quite a few people from England live in the area. Americans, on the other hand, are more of a novelty. :)
Anyway, the town is very charming, and there's a Cathar castle too (Chateau Najac). It was a nice drive getting here.
I had seen our estate agent in the parking lot before I left, and he had suggested coming here to take a look and had also suggested taking the scenic route. (This is the town he lives in.) The countryside is absolutely gorgeous. I am in love with this whole area.
DH's flight will arrive at the airport in Rodez at 5:35 pm, so I am slowly heading that way, seeing what I can find along the way.
