Wow, this is going back a few years. I have no idea when I actually went to the Grand Canyon. I just know that I went, and I was a young child. I do remember the majesty of it. I wanted to go down to the bottom on mules, but we didn't. I plan on doing that with my kids one of these days.

I also remember looking across at the Painted Desert. Of course, being a kid, it didn't look all that colorful to me at the time, lol. I thought the Grand Canyon seemed much prettier with all its striations, not realizing those represented millions of years.

This is a place I need to go again, as an adult, to appreciate fully.
