"The Granddaddy of All Bangkok Markets"

I loved this market, and only got to explore a small fraction of its 30 acres. It is one of the world's largest outdoor markets and includes an air-conditioned indoor market too. I suspect you could buy anything and everything you'd like to buy here.

The areas I passed through were filled with art, flowers, animals, and food. Besides a few nibbles and a Thai tea, my only purchase was a pretty pink dress for my dog, and it cost about $3 USD. Oh, I could easily spend the entire day there whiling my time away, browsing and buying.

You might want to leave a trail of bread crumbs behind you if you have to get back to a certain place at a certain time. It's easy to get lost in the maze of stalls!

This market is located on the way to the airport, so if you have an afternoon flight, you could spend the morning here first. We stopped here en route to the airport, but definitely did not allow for adequate shopping time.
