Show trip route
It is a trully amazing show. Real people become motionless, one-dimensional pieces of art. It doesn't matter what type of painting it is, the actors are made up to look exactly as they do in the original with shadowing, stippling, brushtrokes, angles, whatever. It's incredible.
Some of the art represented that year was as follows: "Women in the Garden" painting by Claude Monet; "The Little Mermaid" bronze sculpture by Edvard Eriksen; "Washington Crossing the Delaware" painting by Leutz/Johnson; "The Last Supper" fresco by Leonardo da Vinci.
Outside the little amphitheter where the Pageant of the Masters takes place, there is also the Sawdust Festival which is a display of art for sale by local artists. There is jewelry, paintings, sculptures, and even a Junior Art Exhibit.
Tickets to this event go fast (it lasts, I dunno, a week or two total). And you can also volunteer to be in the Pageant, but you must do so a year in advance.
