Although we visited this beautiful area in the summer, it was no less impressive.
We drove up for the day from Vancouver.
We walked around the village, shopping and taking in the sights. There was a lot of activity because there was and X-Games Exhibition going on. Some of us took the gondola up the mountain where we played in the snow (in JULY!) and even took a helicopter flight to see Whistler Glacier.
The author also mentions the Fairmont Chateau Whistler, which is where we had dinner (at Wildflower), and it was a truly great meal. The kids had a great time in the outdoor area of the Chateau playing some games; there was a big hopscotch grid,
a giant chess board with the pieces as big as the kids themselves, and
other various kid friendly activities for them to do. It was a
fantastic day. Our only regret was not staying the night up at
