"A Timeless Tableau of the English Countryside"

I only saw the Cotswolds briefly. But the fact that I saw the area at all was a mistake, a wonderful, serendipitous mistake.

We had a tour that day through Evan Evans out of London. I am reluctant to take many tours, but i really like this company; they do a great job and provide so much history and information. Anyway, another tour company cancelled their Cotswolds tour and our tour took the people. Although we were not scheduled to go through the Cotswolds, we now got to go, just to please the other company's tourists.

We did not get to stop anywhere (within the Cotswolds area), but we got a beautiful view of the countryside and idyllic towns, the sheep, the peaceful quiet of the countryside. It gave DH and I enough of a sense of it to know that some day we would very much like to spend a little time in the Cotswolds (not anywhere near a tour group though! lol).
