This is one of the most gorgeous areas. There is a large town section which is main Rishekish. There are also two main points. One is RamJhula and the other where we stayed is Luxman Jhula.
According to Hindu mythology the hindu God Ram, who is the pimary honcho, came here with wife and his brother luxman the boys built a bridge in seperate parts and crossed over these lands while they were in their 14 year exile from their respected Kingdoms. Well the bridges are still there and oddly created with new technology and steel cabling i asked how they were able to use that and our Hotel manager replied he did not know he wasn't there at the time.
hmmmm..... enjoy! More thumbnails ...
