As usual we have been walking the streets but do make use of the cablecars to get up the hills. Alcatratz was fascinating-the audio guide made it very realistic. We have been to all the viewing spots-Coit Tower,Twin Peaks and Vista Point at the Golden Bridge.Walked up Lombard Street which has sharp curves and cars can only travel in one direction. Down at the Pier, the seals have taken over a load of floating pontoons. There must have been about 500-noisy and rather smelly but fascinating to watch.Yesterday we went on a coach trip out to Muir Woods where there are amazingly tall redwood trees. We got to see lots of SF which we wouldnt have seen by foot or public transport.Today we are going to hit the shops and will hopefully get Xmas presents. The weather has been glorious and we keep getting told how lucky we are. I would like to see the famous fog but think it happens mostly in the summer. Then tomorrow we will visit the Art gallery and no doubtwalk a few more streets.
