Hello Shipmates,
Hope you are well and enjoying your selves wherever you are just now.
I would love to write another long mass email to you, but I am currently in Martinique, having joined my new boat, and all the keyboards in the cyber cafes here are in French and are not at all like Im used to, so now, even though Im usually the 5th slowest typist in the Western Henisphere, Im even slower now.
Its like playing French word search on the keyboard, every couple of minutes I keep wanting to shout out 'oooh Ive found croissant' or 'wow, I believe that says vive la France backwards' . The guy running the place keeps looking this way, another reason to leave soon.
Basically I wanted to write to say thanks to everyone for their birthday messages. 23 and counting. For anyone younger than me reading this, I was born long ago, in an era when women wore puff-ball skirts and luminous green pop-socks, and guys wore trousers 3 sizes too small and had awful ratty moustashes, and together we singlehandedly destroyed the Ozone layer through hairspray abuse. At the time we called it 'the early 80s', though I believe history will eventually label it the '2nd Stone Age'
Actually I dont feel too old just yet. Not like when I hit 21, maybe Im like, entering my 2nd childhood early or something? Entirely possible.
Anyhow, this is in danger of becoming longwinded, so I'll sign off here, until I'm back in St. Lucia, where the Keyboards are a bit more Paul-Friendly. Suffice to say, a huge amount has happened to me in the last 4 weeks, roughly a quarter of which you may believe, and you know what, if you do only believe that much, I wouldn't blame you.
In the last month my life has quietly slipped from the sublime to the ridiculous. Its great fun, I recommend it!
