After an amazing flight with views of lake Titicaca and the snow capped Andes we arrived at our lovely hotel and caught up with the Taylors. We were very excited to see them and it was great to hang out with them while we acclimatised to the altitude. We also caught up with Hannah and Andrew, whom we met at Spanish school.
Cusco is known as the gringo capital of Peru but we still think that it is great! Lovely people, nice things to see and buy. We spent a total of 6 days here and had a great time!
The town is full of interesting places and there are loads of restuarants and good places to eat. Shooping for all things Peruvian will make some great and novel Xmas pressies..... Family consider yoursleves warned :-)
The city tour took us too Korichamba (the sun temple) and the Inca ruins that surrouns Cusco. Great views from above the city and some interesting sites!
The air here is very thin and all of us have had problems breathing, getting up a flight of stairs renders one heaving for air for a few minutes.
We love this place and it has been a great intro to Peru !!!
