My beautiful friends have all stopped by to wish us Bon Voyage and we have received so many wonderful gifts and lucky travel tokens. Our traveling gnome will come with us on our journey and he even has his own pass port.
How do I sleep tonight? Tomorrow morning we are surprising the children with a stretch limo and heading off in style...where will this all lead us?
Guess I will find out soon enough as this is it folks!
Seriously? Tomorrow morning at 5 A.M we will be walking out this door and not come back for 100 days! What an insane weekend, coming back from Vegas, getting the kids ready for a full weekend of recitals--yes for those of you who are not dance parents, it is actually from about 9 a.m until approximately 10 p.m two full days at Hamilton Place. The kids are beat , I am beat and yes did I forget to tell you that we had Mikael's Birthday party in between there. I don't even know how to begin to pack for all these different weather conditions that we will encounter and the most important things that we will bring are the two large hockey bags of donations to the Ninios hotel in Peru. This leaves us 2 bags for clothes and such. One bag is Jonas responsibility--Electronics and medicine. He has done a fine job with that, there is enough mosquito repellent to kill all the bugs in Africa I am sure. He special ordered them online with some super duper potion of 100% feet. You should know that we are not going to even one High risk Malaria zone! But at least we are prepared. We have spent over $3000 in vaccinations, and another $1500 in prescription drugs that we are brining so we should be able to survive the plauge at this point. Be that as it may I am now alotten one large suitcase for 3.3 months and four people, including summer, sinter and ocean clothes such as wet suits and goggles. Nemas Problemas (as my friend GUn would say) I have got this covered. I suppose what we miss we can always buy on the way, I am sure there is a Walmart in the middle of the ocean in the Galapagos Island--NOT!
