Okay, let me clarify. I know that Edinburgh is pronounced Eh-din-bur-a (that is why my last entry of "The Burgh" was so funny!!) Anyways, last Saturday I took the one hour bus ride west to Glasgow. It is more of an industrial city, better shopping, and nightlife (only I didn't go out late because I was by myself and I have to admit Bridget Jones' Diary came on t.v. and I was hooked). There is no AC anywhere in Scotland so you have to open a window at night so you don't sufficate. This proved to be fun at my hotel in Glasgow because I was on the ground floor of my hotel. I was thinking, how much would that suck if a snake came in and killed me in the middle of the night. Paranoid much? yes. Anyways, I deter. First thing I see when I get off the bus in Glasgow was a big sign that read CINE. I was so excited because I knew it was a movie theater. I was even more stoked when I saw that batman was playing all day. FINALLY. I have been wanting to see it forever, yes I know I am behind. So I took a picture of the show times, displayed on the street and started walking around Castle with a mini neighbor

. I got on a tour bus and did my usual routine of riding around the city with other Europeans, mostly the elderly. Good times. Then I sat in the square for some time, went to the movie, went back to the main square and watched guys play some hard core soccer. There was a German festival going on in the same area, how ironic that I have to travel from Germany to Scotland to find a German festival. Cracked me up. The next morning I headed back to the Burgh (after our bus smashed into another bus and we had to switch buses- picture to come). I tried calling my friend Katie all day to no avail. Then I walked to the parade, think Macy's Day Parade Scottish style. They have floats on 18 wheeler trucks which is quite amusing. Harry Potter, bagpipes, etc. So I went by myself and met some nice Scottish women (no picture), then went to watch some live performers on the Royal Mile and met my two nice Saudi Arabia buddies, HUGE shout out to them for treating me to Starbucks two evenings in a row. Nice guys, studying English in Scottland. Then I had THE WORSE NIGHT OF MY LIFE. I had switched to a youth hostel to save money. Private room, but right on the street so I got woken up every hour last Sun for the ENTIRE night. It was pure hell. Got up early Mon morning and headed for this amazing tour called "Castles, Coast, and Whisky" which was great. Lots of castles, main one was amazing, lunch on the coast, and then to a whisky distillery where I made friends with an awesome American couple from St. Louis, proving that married people can be fun, sometimes! ha ha. Brian and Chelsea thank you for speaking American English with me. I needed it at that point in my trip! Mon night I finally met up with Katie, Ann, and we all went out together, with the Saudi Arabia guys, and married couple to a local Scottish bar and then to a venue the locals go to for the festival. Monday night I switched hotel rooms so I could sleep again. Guten Nacht for Kimmy. (Isn't my German getting good?) Next stop Norway....where I hope to learn more about the letters: Ø, Å, Æ !!!!
