I'll tell you, I'm running out of steam! And actually really looking forward to getting back home. Moving nearly everyday takes a lot out of you. Today I was up early (again, don't think I've slept more than 5 or 6 hours in about a week or two) and headed back to Christchurch. Along the way we had a stop for better viewing of Mt. Cook - New Zealand's highest mountain - and to climb Mount John. The elevation was about 1,400 meters, so the hike wasn't too bad (I can't help but compare everything to Peru!). Took about an hour, but was rather steep. It actually felt great to break a sweat! View was as expected in NZ - fabulous. A few hours later and we were on the way to Christchurch. Said goodbye to a few people I had been traveling with, as we go different directions at this point. Tomorrow I have a flight to Auckland, a few days later HI, and before I know it, I'll be home... Can't believe how fast it has all gone by!
