I guess all this beauty has a price in order to enjoy it. At this point, I'm wondering if it was worth it though... It took 5 hours, EACH WAY, on a bus to get to Milford Sound. All for a two hour boat ride. The ride to Milford passed through small villages, shear rock mountains of the Southern Alps and Fiords. Glacier produced waterfalls from the spring melt, and alpine fresh rivers, so pure we would stop to fill up our water bottles. Absolutely stunning scenery along the way - but 10 hours on a bus for two hours on a boat... a bit much for me! But on top of the great scenery on the boat, we were able to catch a few dolphins playing in the water and seals sunning themselves on the rocks. So overall I guess I can't complain! And of course, I could be at work. :) I'll post a few pictures, and I'm off to the "Ice Bar" with a group of people...a famous Bar here in Queenstown - the entire place is solid Ice...bars, chairs, glasses, you name it. Can't wait to check it out...
