I will update backwards as well...just starting here for the moment. I will also add pictures when I have access..
What a long day! I arrived into Sydney early in the morning and waited to meet my girlfriend at the airport. Janelle was finishing up a trip in Austrailia and was flying in from Brisbane. By the time we screamed our hellos, hugged and figured out how to get into the city - it was nearly noon. We dropped our things and went for a walk to the pier. Grabbed some lunch and hopped on a ferry to Manly Beach. Now, I've lived in Arizona, loved the heat. Chicago has terrible humidity in the summer and DC is only worse. But I've never felt ANYTHING like this. It was 40 degrees Celcius, with stiffling humidity. On top of that, there was a strong HOT wind coming in off the land that brought all the desert flys with it! We didn't realize until the end of the day that this was highly unusual...I was wondering how people lived like this! But outside of that, we were both incredibly tired so we didn't have to wild a night. We walked the city, enjoyed a few beers and got to bed... It was a good thing, we needed our energy for the next day!
