We left Halong early this morning so we could have time to explore Hanoi. Mom and I ran through most of the important sights, Ho Chi Minh Masoleum, and headed to the French Quarter to admire the architecture. Ok, maybe we didn't see much architecture. We just shopped. A lot. Again. I think that Debbie will not be shopping again anytime soon. :) But it was a nice afternoon. Picked up a few gifts, some street food and I even got a massage (one hour $8). But we organized our bags for tomorrows departure and got ready for our last night together.

Saying good-bye is so hard to do! I head to Sydney in the morning, leaving behind Mom and the other travelers I've been with for the last few days or month. Although I will miss her, atleast I know I can see mom again in a few weeks. It was really sad saying good bye to my favorite Sweds. I have been with Oskar and Gustov for the last month - day and night. It's amazing how close you can become in this atmosphere. The larger group of us had a last dinner together and then our little group headed out for one last night together..Oskar, Gustov, myself and Terry (he was with us for the Vietnam portion). We hopped onto the back of motor bikes and found the most remote neighborhood we could and piled into the bar. It's always such a bitter sweet night, the last one. We were out until the bars closed and yet, didn't end our night there. We all sat in a hotel room with a drink for another hour as if delaying our good byes! In the morning we all go separate ways. Oskar became one of my favorite people on the whole of my trip - I'll miss seeing him every morning.
