So this is actually pretty funny. 14 or 15 hour night train, in a tiny cabin, with myself, mom and the two Sweds, Oskar and Gustov. As the train started and stopped at each station they piped Soviet style communist anthems through the speakers at an unbelievable volume.. This continued to go on for an hour until we all began searching for ways to make it stop! I found a switch to the entire car and was hoping one of the police didn't see me flip the switch. But the accommodations were nice (ha) and they even provided food. Mystery food that the smell alone would turn someones stomach! Gustov was the only one brave enough to give it a try...he'll eat any and everything in sight. Good thing we had all packed picnic style food and drinks for the ride. To say the least, it was a looonnng night. At one point there were 9 of us crammed into one cabin, as I taught the Aussie's in the group how to play the all american college drinking game, Asshole. So regardless of the conditions, we all had fun. I even got a few lessons in Swedish - to their amusement.
