From Barcelona we headed back to France to the French Riviera. We stayed close to the town of Nice. On our way into our accommodation, we stopped at a perfumery and had a tour and went into their wholesale shop (still not terribly cheap). Went for a walk along the beach near the campsite, Nice was all lit up along the coast for us to see. The beach is all blue and grey smooth pebbles, which are not that comfy to walk on, but look beautiful. We spent the following day in Nice, wandered through the markets in the 'old town' and caught up on postcards and emails. We relaxed on the beach and in the park and wandered down the promonade in the afternoon. That night we got all dressed up and went to Monte Carlo in Monarco to see the Casino's. it is an amazing little country (only 1.6sq km in size) so rich and the oldest reigning monarchy in Europe. We saw the Grand Casino, for the hich rollers, with all the BMW's and Rolles out the front. Then we headed to the casino with the cheap slot machines to throw our money away. I relieved myself of €10, but one person on the tour came home €500 happier!...
