So after a 10 hour over night bus Journey, we arrived in Athens at 5am. We had intended to do some sight seeing, but decided instead to head on to Paros and see Athens on the way back. So we caught a 4 hour ferry and i can now say that i am not good on boats! I stayed in Paros for 9 days with a freind who was working on the island.
While here i did a day trip to Santirini. it was really beautiful and pretty expensive. the view were amazing and so was the history. its current shape was created by a volcano eruption 3,500 years ago.
I also went over to Mykanos for a night but it was expensive and the meals i had were average. Party season was over and there were only a few people still if full on party mode. But the nude bathing was alive and well! even if some of the people doing it looked like they were half dead. Everyone was nice and friendly and there was a good mix of people.
Paros was a really nice island, heaps of beautiful beaches and friendly people (travelers and locals). We went to Molos beach where the rocks and sea water make up a beautiful mud mask for your body. The sea was beautiful and clear every where we went and it was beautiful weather everyday. the food was great and i had the BEST waffles at the beer academy in Parakia (main city in Paros). I have a fair bit of colour now which im sure ill lose as the weather fades:-( but greece is a beautiful country and has exceeded all my expectaions!
