Set off early for the drive to Monkey Mia arriving at 7.45 am just in time to see the first of the dolphins coming into the bay. Very playful and a fantastic creature to see at close quarters. The dolphins are fed and watched over by park volunteers which makes the experience slightly less authentic but they are brilliant to see nonetheless.
We did an interesting walk around the National Park and I attempted to snorkel at Monkey Mia bay which failed miserably only succeeding in making me look like a fool, surrounded by 4 year-old Aussie kids in wet suits setting off snorkelling on their own.
On to Little Lagoon and eventually I learnt how to snorkel properly by doing laps around Rob. Its amazing! The water is completely clear and we floated along across the whole lagoon with just us and a beautiful collection of fish. We headed back to Denham for some more snorkelling off the beach by the campsite. I couldn't get enough of it!
Start the next day by heading back to Eagle Bluff where we fortunate enough to catch sight of a shark and a manta ray in the ocean below before we set off on the road to Carnarvon. It was a feast of wildlife at its natural best.
