Luang Prabang

Luang Prabang was beautiful - a worthy World Heritage City. The town was based around the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers and surrounded by jungle and an impressive mountainous landscape.
Arriving just in time for the night market to start Rob had a delightful time looking at jewelry and scarves with me, even agreeing to come back the next evening! The following day we completed another walking tour. Taking in heaps of Wats and Lao-French Colonial houses, all the while keeping my eyes pealed for potential cafés for my 'day of fun' the following day. We finished the day by climbing the hill up to Phu Si to watch the sunset and admire the view of Luang Prabang from That Chomsi.
Before hitting the night market for a second time we had a truly gross dinner from a street vendor, which got me very excited for the next day. Due to me having to spend the evening of my birthday on a bus to Thailand, we got some beers to celebrate the night before. I was even allowed Pringles and a Mars Bar. More thumbnails ...
