Sometime during the night we crossed the International Date Line and lost most of January 12th.
We touched town in both Hong Kong and Singapore. Hong Kong was cool and rainy, but the heat in Singapore seemed to penetrate even through the air conditioning. Of course, technology and airports seem to go hand and hand. Virtually every second person in HK and Singapore had a cell attached to his/her ear! At last - Bangkok! Somehow we managed to find our way to our hotel on the shuttlebus. Although we had slept on the plane, we were somewhat disoriented, much to the amusement of a couple we met from England. Ahhh . . . glorious sleep! More thumbnails ...
