Had a quick look around Nordlingen in the morning and then drove to Rothenburg which was a very cute little town with walls surrounding it, very typical German town, cobbled stone roads and lots of touristy shops.  Checked out the Criminal Museum which  was very interesting, showed all the olden torture methods and devices used and the punishments that were handed out.  Learnt alot about how the law worked and court system.  Would not have liked to be a baker in those days, if they baked a loaf a bread under or over weight they were put in a cage and dangled in a river, tough!!

Another short drive to Nurnberg.  Cy and Ants came with us and the others decided to head up to Lepzig so would met them in Berlin in a couple of days.  Found the tourist info centre which was closed, bugger.  Also found a cool place to free camp close to the city, Germany is great for freecamping!!

Up early the next day to find the Dokumentationzentrum a massive museum which is dedicated to telling the story of the Nazis in Nurnberg.  The museum itself was designed in one of the buildings which was built for the Nazi party rallies.  The audio guide was very helpful and plenty of information on the rise of Hitler and the role that the city of Nurnberg played with regards to properganda rallies and of course the Nurnberg trials which were held after the war ended and the prosecuted where exacuted.

Back to the vans for lunch and decided to drive to Plzen in Czech Republic.  Crossed the border with no troubles and bought a toll sticker to last us the whole time.  In Plzen found the info centre and then drove to a nearby lake to have a swim as temp was mid 30's.  Parked up and walked to the lake, got charged when entering which was weird, we soon realised was the nudist section..... ha ha quite funny, there were quite a few sore sights!! Walked past and found the swimsuit section and went for a dip.  Back to the vans and found a park on the otherside of the lake.  Decided it would be easier to catch the bus to town and go to the Pilsner Urquell Brewery.  Got on what we thought would be the right bus but it ended up taking us in a loop around the outside of the city, great, hopped off a massive shopping centre and a nice American couple told us how to get to town.  Finally got to the brewery and had a beer in the garden bar for 28 Sk which works out to be under a euro for a 0.5l, so cheap.  Had a meal at the restaurant, most of us got steak, had be hanging out for a nice steak for ages.....

Back to the vans which were still safe, were a little worried about leaving them.

Off to Prague tomorrow!!
