Wow the Cruise Ship was incredible! I was lucky enough to go on a cruise with my family last year, also with the Royal Caribbean and so I expected good things, and knew we were in for an absolute treat!

We had a little bit of trouble getting Shell onto the ship as she was unknowingly travelling illegally for all this time after her working visa finished, she was supposed to go out of the country and then back in to start her 5 year tourist visa, LUCKILY the lady at immigration allowed us in. After taking our first steps onto the majestic beauty of a ship, we took a quick visit to our stateroom, which had the comfiest beds, with Shell's equally as comfy coming down as a bunk bed haha! We then ran up to Deck 11 where all the swimming pools and jacuzzis were, we served ourselves some free ice cream and then ran onto the top deck with the sun loungers where we had an incredible view of the Miami Skyline! We couldn't believe it, here we were on a mighty Cruise Ship, worlds away from our Cabin style life at Camp! Amazing!

Soon we had set sail, and traditionally waved to the other Cruise liners setting off from the port. There was a setting sail party on Deck 11 around the pool, where all of the Cruise Ship entertainers, including this incredible camp male dancer with the microphone, getting us all in the mood to dance and have a good time! Hilarious, I definitely didn't have any rhythm and all of big Americans were in lines and knew exactly what they were doing. All good fun.

A tasty dinner in the main dining room of the Cruise Ship awaited us- 3 course meals. Ham and pea gnocchi, it was delicious! Then we went to watch a comedy show in the Cruise ship's theatre and he was hilarious! There was an old guy in the audience who's laughter was just amazing and added to the hilarity of the night making it absolutely hilarious! We then hit the casino as I gambled away $20 on the roulette, and was introduced to the game craps (which I always associate with that episode from 'Friends',) but then I somehow managed to break even as I came away with $20 on the slots... I never win on the slots!

Great start to the cruise as we enjoyed drinks on the deck, the music, comedy and for me, gambling.

We woke up and we had arrived at Coco Cay, a little island in the Bahamas which is privately owned by the Royal Carribean. The beaches were absolutely beautiful! White sounds and bright blue sea! It was so nice to spend the day just chilling and not walking on our feet... we got ourselves some sun loungers right by the sea and just relaxed all day. I spent the day reading the Alchemist whilst lying in the gentle sea, it was amazing, with swims in between. Incredible, I love the sea, and it was beautiful.

Back on the ship we did various things, like swimming in the pool, chilling in the jacuzzis and then we all went to the gym before watching another comedy show in the evening, very funny again. Dinner was absolutely incredible as we were given the most hilarious waiter on earth! His name was Richard and he was from India, he obviously loved his work, but he just kept disappearing. We had such jokes and laughs with him as we asked him where he'd been, as another waiter had to take our orders haha! He just kept laughing, the geekiest, funniest laugh ever, saying "oh I'm just out killing your chickens for you"- so funny! We loved him!

Evening entertainment on one of the bars was a Men vs Women, battle of the sexes competition. Jodie and I joined in and our task was squeezing a keyring in between our bum cheeks, waddling along and then trying to dump it into a glass, by just squatting down- hilarious.

We then went up to the top deck at night to star gaze- camp tradition- and we were greeted by the most impressive buffet ever, including an incredible display of fruit, fruit skewers and chocolate fondue, amazing! A great day in Coco Cay and evening on the Ship as we sailed to our next destination.

Our next stop was Nassau and were greeted by locals straight away in the massive market right by the port. It was boiling, such a hot day and it was so hot and sweaty walking around the markets. I ended up buying a red singlet, with "Bahama Islands" written across the chest and a shark tooth bracelet- awesome!

The beach was incredible, even more gorgeous than yesterday, and the sea was a mix of bright blue and turquoise with beautiful white, soft sand. I hired some snorkels at a cute little hut on the beach. The beach was deserted apart from us, fruit sellers, the cocktail hut and some local boys jumping and doing somersaults off of the "pier." It was like paradise! I used the snorkels almost immediately and swam out as far as I could until the buoys, the coral and the little fishes I saw were beautiful. Awesome to be the only one out there in the sea, swimming undisturbed next to the beautiful sealife.

After relaxing in the sun for a while, eating some local fruit which I can't name, Shell and I joined the local boys on the pier, and took some pictures, and jumped off it again and again. Really good fun, and the sea was so beautiful and warm!

We got back on the boat just in time to watch the Worlds Sexiest Man, which was classic Cruise Ship entertainment and was pretty funny, and disgusting at times when the old women judges did some sort of bump and grind... Shell and I were on the top deck as Jodie was in the room watching her much missed films bless her, and we sat sail again.

After chilling and relaxing some more, it was time for dinner again with Richard which was another night of laughter! I then spent the night in the casino making friends with men giving me some good gambling tips and managed to turn $20 into $40 on blackjack. I then decided to cool it, and we all chilled on the top deck again with some drinks and the stars. I then decided to go back and gamble half of my winnings $20, and I managed to turn it into $90... yeaaah!

The 4 day Cruise was a much needed relaxation break, and if the dates had worked out, without Jodie having to leave so soon, we would've loved to have stayed longer. Incredible. Beautiful beaches in the Bahamas and gorgeous weather. I stupidly didn't put any sun cream on though, after 8 weeks in the sun on the soccer fields I thought I was invincible, obviously not. Extremely bad burns!
